The Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People

Our campaign is honored and grateful to receive the endorsement of the Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People. Their dedication to advancing the interests and concerns of the Black community aligns deeply with my values and vision for Durham County.

I am committed to working tirelessly to represent and serve all residents, fostering inclusivity, equity, and progress.
I am humbled by this endorsement and look forward to collaborating with the Committee and the community to create positive change for Durham County.

Stephen J. Valentine, Director of the Veterans Law Clinic at NC Central University School of Law announces his bid for Durham County Commissioner on December 12, 2023 at Noon. Friends and Supporters will gather at the Durham County Board of Elections where Stephen will make a brief statement before making his official filing.

Valentine has dedicated his life to public service as a social worker, Army officer, and attorney. He is a Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he received the Bronze Star Medal and he is a retired United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate with the rank of Major.
